I am a technologist focusing on the strategy, design and development of web, mobile and social media applications, I'm proficient in engagement-level Project, Program and Portfolio Management with over ten years of experience in leading multidisciplinary teams from strategy through deployment of enterprise, web, mobile and social media applications.  Using established System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies I'm adept in making innovative technology recommendations based on key business requirements as well as procedure analysis.

I began to focus my career in technology while an undergraduate student at Georgia State University pursuing a B.A. degree. While working with Coca-Cola USA, I served as liaison between technical groups and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). I became increasingly involved in process and OTS technology implementations. Preceding the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, I helped define the technical direction of HIP-O Creative, a boutique design firm. I led budget planning as well as procurement for network and information infrastructure. With a focus on efficiency, I conducted performance analysis and managed system upgrades. Clients included Nike, Coca-Cola Licensing and Oracle.

With an emergent expertise in Information Technology, I joined Sprint (then Nextel Communications) and added systems integration and database design and development to my repertoire. A standout project from this period was the realization of $2.3M in annual savings through the development and implementation of billing system enhancements. While working with the New York City Housing Authority (N.Y.C.H.A.) as a Consultant for Grass Roots Technology, I led cross-organizational project teams.  I surpassed stated objectives during the deployment of the 165-site infrastructure upgrade. The project included the use of several existing as well as new Windows and Back Office technologies in addition to the installation of the network server infrastructure at N.Y.C.H.A. headquarters.

In 2000 I took on the role of Technical Project Manager for publisher Scholastic. I worked with various business units as a key Technology Manager in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment. Responsible for the development and adherence to all technical goals and strategies, I provided project management for brands including Clifford the Big Red Dog and Harry Potter.  Projects included the development of an application to manage a global interactive chat event featuring author J.K. Rowling. While consulting with COMsource, a Wall Street based information architecture and database systems design firm in 2002, I was responsible for infrastructure planning and design associated with business-aligned applications.

After taking on the roll of Applications Development Manager at Cablevision in 2003 I was accountable for the management and execution of internal client engagements. I managed the Process Review Group (PRG) established to review and streamline the development process by analyzing and subsequently adopting the latest when SDLC methodologies. I managed the redesign of tools used to automate the creation of applications used for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) control and information access.

As Senior Project Manager with Advance Internet (The online technology division of Advance Publications, Inc. - Parent company of Condé Nast) I helped direct the Internet and application based development of the publisher's consumer franchises including concierge.comepicurious.comstyle.comNOLA.comNJ.com,cleveland.com and oregonlive.com. I managed significant segments of the rapid application development for NOLA.com (the company's New Orleans affiliate) surrounding the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The development included the modification of existing applications for use as one of the recovery efforts central Missing Persons Databases. The development effort and application utility was the subject of international press including stories by CNN, BBC News, The New York Times, The Washington Post and Reuters.

Following that engagement I consulted with New York City’s Human Resource Administration – Office of Business Strategies and Solutions. The project involved the gathering of requirements as well as the creation of processes in line with the policy parameters. Required bi-weekly status and planning meetings with team members including HRA and Department of Health Deputy Commissioners. Managed the design of new and/or the revision of existing systems, policies, procedures and operational implementation approaches, to enhance the overall functioning of HRA programs. Worked with MIS groups to ensure the seamless integration and efficacy of component systems and services including applications used to conduct biopsychosocial evaluations, wellness, case management, diagnostic vocational evaluation, vocational rehabilitation services and, referral for Federal disability benefits.
